Mu Metals Foil is mainly made up of nickel (about 77–80%) and iron (15–20%), with small amounts of copper and molybdenum added to boost its magnetic properties. This unique blend results in extremely high magnetic permeability and very low coercivity, making it perfect for magnetic shielding. On the mechanical side, the foil is soft, ductile, and highly workable, which makes it easy to form, roll, and anneal. It retains its structural integrity even when processed into thin sections while maintaining its magnetic performance. The alloy also shows low hysteresis loss and excellent dimensional stability, ensuring consistent and reliable behavior in precision magnetic and electronic applications.
